The first edition of the Technological Ecosystems for Enhancing Multiculturality International Conference (TEEM – http://teemconference.eu/) will be held at the Institute of Education Sciences (IUCE – http://iuce.usal.es) of the University of Salamanca on 15-16 November 2013.

The aim of this event is to create a community of researchers who exchange experiences and discuss ways of fostering multiculturality from the interdisciplinary perspective characteristic of the Knowledge Society. In this regard, TEEM is linked to the Education in the Knowledge Society Doctoral Programme of the University of Salamanca (http://www.usal.es/webusal/node/30026).

For this first edition a series of thematic sessions has been organised, each with its own topics and call for papers (click on the corresponding track for more information):

All the thematic sessions share the aim of moving away from the more traditional academic conference format, seeking ways to discuss and improve ongoing and future research with the constructive feedback of the participants.

The proceedings of this conference will be published as a volume of the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series and, therefore, in the ACM Digital Library.

In addition, special issues will be organised in 12 journals to extend (by at least 60%) the best papers and to give an opportunity to publish new work that may arise as a result of collaboration between the participants. The up-to-date list of journals is available at http://teemconference.eu/special-issues/.
