Last week, on 16, 17 and 18 May, the project “ISABEL. Interactive social media for integration, skills exchange, training and informal learning” was presented at the University Institute of Education Sciences (IUCE). A project funded by the European Commission and EACEA (the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency), with an estimated duration of two years.

This project aims to develop an innovative pedagogical practice, based on social networks and on so-called citizen journalism, that serves as a tool for learning and empowerment, both for groups of individuals and for communities. To this end, the intention is to create a virtual and physical environment where all kinds of people can find a way to learn reciprocally from one another, thereby reducing their vulnerabilities. The aim is thus to respond to the need to foster self-learning and informal peer-to-peer education processes.
