The 2011 Teaching Training Plan for the teaching staff of the University of Salamanca is an initiative of the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching, developed by the University Institute of Education Sciences (IUCE), setting out an institutional proposal aimed at all teaching staff with the objective of making it easier for lecturers to adopt the teaching methodologies required by the current official degree programmes.

The 2010-11 academic year began with the complete adaptation of all degree programmes to the new university context of Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral studies, with each centre having its own distinct characteristics. From this starting point, this Plan seeks to respond to this diversity by proposing a threefold training strategy:

  • General Training Programme: a general offer proposed by the IUCE, with the collaboration of the centres.
  • In-Centre Training Programme: specific training linked to particular needs identified in each centre.
  • Open Training Programme: a dynamic offer to which institutional activities linked to the updating of teaching practice may be added.

The warm reception given to the activities organised in previous editions, the positive evaluations and the recognition of the participants are an encouragement to continue this work. This programme, which has been consolidating over recent years, remains open to any suggestions put forward by teaching staff, Departments and Centres, whom we invite to enrich this call and to help extend it in future editions.

In the hope that the proposals contained in this call will meet the training needs of our university community, we once again encourage everyone to take part in the programme presented here. Pre-registration for all the activities will be possible from 14 March at 10 a.m. until Friday the 18th at 2 p.m. through the platform that will be made available on this website, with the exception of the course “Initial Training for University Teaching Staff (FIPU)”, for which registration can be completed on Thursday 10 March by emailing iuce.formacion@usal.es
